The company’s roots are in the companies AVT Verkehrstechnik GmbH, founded in 1994 and STOYE GmbH, founded in 1948. Both companies had been operating successfully for many years in the sector of signal control and traffic engineering. After the acquisition of STOYE GmbH by AVT Verkehrstechnik GmbH in July 2010, the two companies merged early 2011 to form the new AVT STOYE GmbH.
As AVT STOYE GmbH has been the majority shareholder of GEVAS software GmbH since the end of 2012, GEVAS became a 100% subsidiary of AVT STOYE in January 2016, which ideally complemented our portfolio. In 2018, AVT STOYE GmbH merged with STM Verkehrssysteme GmbH, which was acquired in 2017.
Today, AVT STOYE with its approx. 100 employees and over 3,500
traffic signal systems in service in Germany, is one of the largest players in the industry.
Due to the company mergers, the company utilises the valuable synergy effects, so that products which have already proven themselves can be combined and improved even further. Therefore, AVT STOYE is capable of manufacturing the latest system components for traffic engineering. Through our branches and support centres in North Rhine Westphalia, Hesse, Baden-Württemberg, Bavaria and Thuringia, AVT STOYE is always local.
